Grizzly bear cub passes pretty darn close to me as I'm standing outside of my truck in Yellowstone park
Even with a 500mm lens, this was too close for comfort and unexpected.

Even though he looks like a black bear, he is a grizzly bear on a downed bull elk. He was very protective of his kill, even warding off crows. He laid and slept with his meal for the 5 days that I was there.

Grizzly in Denali National Park walks the river bed just below us.....
This same Grizzly walks closer to us and headed straight for the Ranger Station.....
Grizzly jumps up out of the river bed and is spooked from a nearby car rolling his window down for a photo....He trots right past the Ranger Station at the 15 mile point of the Denali Park road.
Ah oh! Think he sees me!
